• Dr. Naveed Pervaiz, PhD, from Dr. Makowski’s Lab has won a travel award from Metabolic Dysregulation and Cancer Research Program (MeDOC). He has also been selected to give an oral talk in March 2025 at the Annual Consortium Meeting held in Boston, MA.
• Lukmon Raji, a graduate student in the Makowski lab, has been awarded a travel scholarship to the College of Graduate Health Science’s Third Annual MeDoc Consortium in Boston, MA. Congratulations, Raji!
• Dr. Sandesh Marathe, PhD, received a $300 award for Podium Presentation at the UTHSC Postdoctoral Research Showcase (2025). 
• Dr. Sandesh Marathe, PhD, has received a $1,000 travel award from the UTHSC Postdoctoral Association to attend the MeDOC Consortium Annual Meeting in Boston (March 2025)!
